Thrust Vector Update and Hiatus
Hello everyone.
It’s me Lucas, the guy writing this series for the past few months. And wow, what a past few months it has been. Authoring Thrust Vector is an experience to say the least, one that has been through many trials and triumphs. But now that we’re at the end of a story arc, I think it’s time we sit back for a few moments and discuss the future of the series.
Thrust Vector is based off of the beloved video game Strike Vector. However, the things that are related to the game aren’t much. The setting(barely), and the idea of Vectors is pretty much the only things borrowed. Characters, action sequences, plots, the perception of vectors, the current timeline, the state of the world, and a lot more, are all original to Thrust Vector and not seen anywhere else within the Strike Vector Story.
Somehow, this short indented three chapter run of fast combat has evolved to a novel that explores life in the sky, the truth of promises, and what it means to be human. To say the least, and in the most positive way, it got a bit out of hand.
And through it all, there has been several requests for the collection of the chapters and lore segments into a book, and following that, the actual publishing of it.
Therefore, I am planning to self publish Thrust Vector as a standalone ‘Strike Vector’ Novel.
But there are a few hurdles to this, and they are as follows:
- 1. Editing Logs/Chapters into a more cohesive plot line
- Currently, all chapters are pretty disjointed due to the fact they are pumped out as fast as possible. I will need to fix that if I am to collect these into one single Novel
- 2. Redeveloping characters to be more consistent
- As the chapters continue, every character has changed. I will need to lock down their personalities if everyone is to retain a semblance of a human being.
- 3. General editing for flow, clarity, and improvement
- 4. Actually being able to publish it as a independent book
- I will need to speak to RageQuit Corp about this, even if Strike Vector’s IP is currently in the air(no pun intended).
- 5. Usage rights for Strike Vector’s concept art as the Cover and within interspersed Lore articles
- Paul Chadeisson and Pierre Travis(really, Hotmail?!), and Cedric Lecacheur, can we get into contact? I need to talk to you guys regarding this.
And these five points only scratch the surface for Thrust Vector’s hurdles. As of now, the entire series that is posed on my blog is first draft material, only edited locally and not brought together as a cohesive line.
So what does this mean for Thrust Vector? Well, it’s gonna be on hiatus while I figure everything out. And even then, it’s still a maybe on if the series will ever be finished. In my head, I have three more story arcs planned with at least 10 chapters each, equivalent to three more books. But the ability to actually made this a reality… is questionable.
Several factors hinder me, and a few I will list now:
- - Ease of editing
- If editing a single book together takes as long as writing it, we might have a problem.
- - Time
- As a student, I simply don’t have as much time as I would like to write, and edit things.
- - Money
- Again, as a student I’m pretty damn tight when it comes to cash. Thrust Vector inherently can’t make any, so it’s confined to a hobby at this point
Etc. etc.
In the end, everything is a massive if. If my time works out, if RageQuit Corp. works out, if editing works out, if and if and if.
I love Strike Vector, the game has brought me hours of joy and entertainment and it’s community has offered overwhelming support and love. And I promise I’ll try my very best to make this project become an actual reality.
If you have any feedback: grammar errors, plot holes small or large, inconsistencies, mean comments, advice, or anything else, please tell me! I promise it won’t hurt too hard!

Thrust Vector is an open letter to how passionate the community is and how awesome of a job RageQuit Corp has done on Strike Vector. I love this game, I love the people playing it. And Thrust Vector is all about that.
Thank you all so much for your continued support. I hope for all of you to enjoy the things I write as well as to enjoy your life beyond it.
Be safe out there, and stay fly!
